PTH: 64 F Hx of hyperthyroid. Just had PTH of 77. Dr said check next year. Asks: I am worried? ANS: I need to know what is normal PTH in that lab. Many use 65 as hi. Most labs vary by 10% on sample done on different days. So 10% of 65 of 6.5, add that to 65 and you get 71. Close to 77. Your Dr knows variation in that lab so suspect she's not worried . Ask her she knows u & lab best. Will help worrying
