Yes, but not likely: No form of birth control is 100% effective. However, being just a few hours late is not really a problem. Oral birth control used properly can be up to 99% effective. They lose effectiveness when people skip doses and take them at random times of day. For added protection use condoms as well.

No form of BC: is 100% effective. If you miss a complete cycle do a home pregnancy test. Use condoms and BC pills together. Consult your GYN for possible alternative contraception ideas.
