Hip pain: Some disorders of the hip like tendonitis or chronic sprain won't show up on simple xrays. It's possible that simply walking improperly has strained muscles around the hip. Also arthritis or cartilage derangement may be present and not detectable by convention xray studies. Your orthopedic surgeon may order more imaging, steroid injections, physical therapy, etc after another examination.
