A member asked:

Evidence of mild wall thickening in descending colon, maximum thickness is 5.8 mm. what does it mean & is it a cause to worry? is it related to cancer

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doubtful finding: It depends on why you had your Colon checked? So tell us your complete medical history and also what type of test was done which showed the colon wall thickening?. Any imaging study that shows slight/mild changes is of doubtful significance. So we have to rely more on your symptoms. Unless you have belly pain or problems with your bowel movements, you can ignore this finding.
