Upper resp infection: Your symptoms may suggest a bacterial upper respiratory infection. Even in the absence of a fever! A Z-pak would be helpful. If you do not improve, I would recommend a chest x-ray and a complete blood count.

Most colds go by themselves; Rest, enjoy comfort foods, drink warm fluids, avoid alcohol, take OTC analgesics of one's choice. See PCP if Fever, Cough, chest pain... persist
