Your vocal cords may have been affected by the upper respiratory virus you had or they could have been significantly irritated or inflamed by persistent harsh coughing. I doubt you have an active infection now. At this time prevent further irritation of the vocal cords by resting your voice and taking a suppressant cough syrup to prevent harsh dry cough. In time you normal voice will return.
