Wide range of causes: There are many causes to unequal pupils and weather it is more in the dimmed light or strong light If they are unequal in the dark usually the smaller pupil is the abnormal one, if they are unequal in light that means that the bigger pupil is abnormal There is big range of causes from normal variant to nerve problems, drugs or trauma Medical review is suggested for evaluation

This is: definitely ABNORMAL and you should start by telling your Primary Care Medical Provider who may want to refer you to an OPTHAMOLOGIST ..what is INTERMITTENT now may become PERMANENT if there is an injury to the nerves in that eye.... Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
