On day 3 of escitalopram. about an hr after i take it i feel very anxious and "high". pupils dilate, jaw clenches. shaking hands. is this normal?

Reported side effect: Worsening anxiety, cramps and dilated pupils can all occur with the use of escitalopram and often get better in the next few days to weeks of treatment. I suggest you report to your doctor as she may consider starting you at a lower dose and then gradually going up. She may also consider a benzo for the first few weeks until the effects of the escitalopram kick in. Please check with your doctor.
