I'm not sure: You need to see a doctor for a thorough breast exam, which should take at least 3 minutes per breast, longer for larger breasts. Many women have breast pain, and we often never find a cause. If your breast is red or hot or you feel a lump, see a doctor immediately as that can be serious. If not, you can wait several weeks for an appointment.

Not sure: Breast soreness can be caused by many things. Mastitis, an infection, is more common in breastfeeding women but can happen without breastfeeding. Fibrocystic breast disease can cause pain that comes and goes with menstrual periods. Sometimes a breast cancer can cause pain, but this is rare. If your pain doesn't improve, please see a doctor!
