Alcohol can affect: the absorption and metabolism of many drugs. It is a drug too after all. It is never a good idea to mix alcohol with prescription drugs of any kind. In this case the combination could potentiate the blood pressure lowering effects and cause you to be very dizzy or pass out. Abstinence would be advisable.
