HD is...: HD is an abbreviation for many things, but in the context of kids and poop, we'll presume it stands for Hirschprung disease. The treatment is surgical, but requires a surgeon with good experience in doing this, because the section of bowel that is missing the nerves needs to be properly identified (by the pathology lab on the biopsies). Hopefully, there's a pediatric surgery medical center nearby.
