A member asked:

I gave asthakind drops to my 1 year baby 3ml..is it overdose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, large dose: There are several forms of asthakind drops, and assuming you gave the form with terbutaline, a bronchodilator generally not used in children under 6 in the US. Starting oral dose for maintenance for 10 kg child would be 0.7 ml/dose 3 times a day with a max dose of 2 ml/dose 3 x/d. For acute asthma attack, meds are usually given by neb or inject. Always check with your doctor first before Rx.
