Typical of Mirena: That is typical of Mirena. During the first 3-6 months of use, its not uncommon to have prolonged bleeding or break-through bleeding or spotting. Usually after 6 months that goes away and your periods start to get light. After a year around half of women don't have any periods at all. Best wishes!
