A member asked:

Is it possible for a one year old to vomit several times after hitting her head and not have a brain injury/skull fracture/concussion? no ct scan

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Closed head injury: Vomiting tends to be more common in children following a head injury compared to adults. Depending on the severity of head injury the frequency of vomiting varies. Most head injuries from "hitting a head" do not lead to skull fracture or bleeding inside the head. CT is often not necessary. if the child vomits more than 3 times and/or there are other symptoms or signs then an evaluation is needed
