Not until healed: The popping heard when yawning or nose blowing is the ear drum moving. If there is a hole the air forced up through the eustachian tube escapes out the hole so can't push the drum so no pop is heard. It won't pop until drum healed. Echo is from sound hitting the drum and middle ear structures at roughly the same time.
