A member asked:

After a short jog i had mild discomfort/pain specifically on the left side of my chest. i know it wasn't a heart attack, but is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How does one know?: Some people have those exact symptoms and are having angina, which can be chest pain due to not enough blood flow to the heart. It could be one's guardian angel telling him to get checked out (meaning calling one's primary care doctor now to see how urgent the problem is). It might not be the heart, or it could be fatal next time one goes jogging. Better safe than sorry.
