2 answers: 1. Most likely not a 2 year infection unless the mesh is infected and it drains moderate pus daily. Most likely a reaction to a hernia repair permanent suture knot. Only the eyes of a experienced surgeon can tell you. 2. You either have a new bulge, or you don't, to answer your question on whether you have a repeat hernia.
