Rash v hives: I suspect your problem is from a rash (which lasts more than a day) vs hives (which subsides in a few hours). It appears that you are allergic to certain material in the new footwear. You may consult a derm or allergist to patch test you to shoe materials to find out the culprit. It is unusual to get rash on your hands from the shoes Any recent contact with poison oak/ivy?
