My wife and i have been married for years and decided recently to get hiv tests to to be responsible. we have been faithful. do we need to wait the window period for accurate results?

Unlikely: The HIV tests that are currently present on the markets are very sensitive meaning that if they are negative it's probably a true result. However if they are positive more confirmatory testing is needed.

Yes and No: The accuracy of the test will not be changed if you have unprotected sex after the test was taken. The test only gives you results based on the time of the test. If you want to be sure and safe, wait until you get the results to move forward with unprotected sex.
