Germs travel: Cold viruses fly through the air, but they also are on the places that people touch, such as faucet handles, door knobs, phones, keyboards, railings, etc. If one did not breathe in the viruses, one could have caught them by touching the viruses and then transferring them to one's own eyes, nose, or mouth.
