Handwashing: Most infections (80-85%) are passed through hand-to-hand contact. Washing your hand frequently in warm soapy water will significantly reduce your chances of an infection. Other things to do include not sharing utensils, cups, toothpaste, hand towels, etc. Having him cover his mouth when ever sneezing or coughing will help. Lastly, avoid kissing, but that's up to you. :).

Wear a mask: Use separate towels, have him wash his hands frequently, and try not to get too close to him until he is better. This is spread by his breathing on you.
