What is the difference between bladder sling for incontinince and sling for bladder prolapse?

See below: A bladder sling is used to treat stress urinary incontinence in women and is usually made of a strip of surgical mesh, or less often autologous fascia, usually inserted through one vaginal incision and two small abdominal incisions. Bladder suspension refers to surgery that helps place a sagging bladder back into its normal position using adjacent autologous fascia, or less often transvaginal mesh

Little difference: There is almost no difference between the two terms. A sling procedure encompassing the bladder neck and a sling procedure for "vaginal" not bladder prolapse may be the only "difference". The former is more effective, than the latter as often the vaginal prolapse of the bladder requires more than a sling procedure as the prolapse is often supplemented with a vaginal procedure as well.
