My daughter had an appendectomy 4 weeks ago and has what looks like suture strings coming out of two of her healed scars. is this normal?

Mgt: It depends on the type of suture material. I would suggest calling the surgeon's office. If the wound looks well healed the material can be removed. Some sutures dissolve with time.
