Elevated blood fats: This is a broad topic with variable implications. Fats are normal components of the blood, but elevated values are common. Which fats are elevated to what degree determine significance and treatment options. Although genetics play a major role, lifestyle changes (weight, diet, other medications) major be beneficial. If still inadequate, judicious use of appropriate medications will help.

Huperlipidemia: Hyperlipidemia is general term for elevated cholesterol. There are four parts of lipid profile. Total cholesterol.Ldl so called bad cholesterol, HDL so called good cholesterol and triglycerides. If your LDL is high and HDL is normal or low, then it is called hyperlipidemia and needs to be treated with diet, exercise and medications.Triglycerides are by itself a risk factor and if it is high needs rx.
