Infection?: Vaginal discharge with strong odor often means infection, especially bacterial vaginosis (overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria) or trichomonas (an STD). Other STDs like gonorrhea or chlamydia also are possible. The odor usually is fishy, but odor is subjective -- one person's "fishy" might remind others of semen. Any new or abnormal vaginal discharge needs medical evaluation; see your doctor soon.
