Possibly: In short, yes the drainage can be from the surgery if you had a styloidectomy. However, it depends on how long ago you had the surgery and how long after that you had the drainage. In any case you need to have that checked to make sure there is not an abscess formation or a draining post-operative cyst or some other abnormality associated with the ear
