What is the purpose of taking anti inflammatories before getting images of the nerves in arm? (i believe via mri looking for possible damage)

Anti inflam: Taking Advil lor Aleve to reduce pain and inflammation in the nerves and muscles of your arm can help while a work up is being done to see if there's an abnormality via scanning, MRI, etc. You internist can refer to a neurologist if symptoms become persistent or worsen.
