A member asked:

If cereal sits in milk and becomes soggy, will it make a child's stool softer than if the child eats it before it gets soggy?

No: One's stomach and intestines are a big blender. Everything is turned into a very liquid soup. Then the large intestine reabsorbs most of the water. The longer the poop stays in the large intestine, the dryer and firmer the poop gets.
