Is it possible to check to see if you have a fever without thermometer?

No: There is no accuracy with just feeling for fever. The person checking may have an unknown fever or their hands may be cold giving a falsely high perception of fever. The only accurate way is with a thermometer. Buy one and keep at least one in the house - you can get one for less than $10.
