No: That's a superstition. Actually, a big node at the medial end of the left clavicle, where the thoracic duct drains into the jugular vein is a common sign that one has carcinoma and it's too late -- so no hurry in getting diagnosed. Pathological nodes are obviously abnormal -- rock hard, or grow very big, or are stuck to something they shouldn't be.
