Yes you can: Ultrasound in the hands of a trained sonographer can provide valuable information about the rotator cuff muscles. Still MRI is the best way to go. There are ways to get around the clostrophobia such as open magnets or sedation. Talk to your doctor for the best way to go. Best wishes
