Any dairy = reflux/heartburn. extreme fatty food = no heartburn, no reflux. no lactose milk = acid reflux too. what causes reflux then ? thank you.

Milk protein Allergy: If the reflux is triggered by both lactose containing and lactose free milk, then you may have milk protein allergy. An allergic reaction releases histamine. Histamine in the stomach will increase acid production and cause stomach contractions which will push the acid up the esophagus. Try avoiding cows milk products and see if it helps.
