Yes it is ok: You may simply continue taking your contraceptive pills as usual. If you would want to avoid similar situations, consider asking your gynecologist to switch you to an intrauterine device (IUD) or a subdermal implant which are much more effective and "forgettable" methods of contraception. They are the best long-acting-reversible-contraceptives available.
