Dry cough: Persistence of a dry cough with normal chest xray may be seen in certain types of asthma, gastroesophageal reflux(gerd), postnasal drip, nervous habit or tracheal scarring. I recommend that you consult a pulmonologist for diagnosis and treatment. Any additional appropriate tests will be ordered.
