Not necessarily: Hi TKnox, Perianal tingling can happen as a result of nerve root compression in the sacral spine which is slightly lower than the level you describe here. However, this may be part of a more diffuse degenerative spine/joint disease (DJD). A&E is an option but if your GP is available you might want to check with him first. Your DJD may have gotten worse so may need an exam and imaging. Best of luck
