See a doctor: If you have a "lump" present long enough to practically have named it, and it is feeling hard to you and you feel that it's misaligning normal structures, i'd be concerned that it could be cancerous. It needs to be examined by a physician as soon as possible.

Lymph node: You may feel the node every couple of weeks, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.
