92%-95% Effective: With typical use, Birth Control pills are about 92%-97% effective. Women who frequently miss pills or take them at different times of day would have less effectiveness than women who take them correctly at the same time and never miss pills. Theoretically, the pill would be 99% effective with perfect use but how many of us are perfect?
