Glucosamine: Glucosamine may help with the osteoarthritis pain at a dose of 1500 mg daily. The calcium will not help with either the bursitis or osteoarthritis. You need to discuss the need for supplements of calcium with your doctor. It is to prevent bone loss and the amount you need to take as a supplement depends upon your diet.
