My dr put me on tylenol 3 for knee pain. how long does it take to kick in. i take it after i get done with pt. it says 1-2 tabs every 6 hrs as needed.

1-2 hours: Most patients get some pain relief from this type of medication within 1-2 hours. However, even though T-3 is a narcotic pain med, it is relatively weak. If not working, then consult with your doc regarding other forms of pain relief, whether it be other meds or non-medication forms.
