Can stop worrying:): Risk of getting HIV from oral sex is negligible and is estimated as one transmission per 10,000 sex acts. The 4th generation will usually test positive 15-20 days after a person becomes infected. Concerns that it may take several(up to six)months for an HIV test to turn positive were before the use of the 4th generation which tests for the p24 antigen (a core protein of the HIV virus).
