Every night as i'm sleeping i experience a sharp shooting pain from the back of my left knee (only) disperse down to my foot and cause shock like pain?

Left knee: Please start with a someone who will take you to the Emergency facility where they will carefully examine your knee. Lab test and/or xrays will be done. The doctors will discuss this with and make decisions about best care - either in the ER or in the hospital. Hope all goes well!
