Anaphylaxis: A true allergic reaction is that where even the smallest dose of an "allergen" causes a full blown organ system shut down, Rash, wheezing to Shortness of breath, dysrhythmias to Ventricular fibrillation, total renal shut down. Supportive measures, epinephrine and anti-allergen (reversal) needs to be given. This can happen with any substance introduced into the body not recognized as "self".
