Not a good idea.: What for? Drugs like Benzocaine do not have sytemic pain benefits and are meant for local use. They can induce cardiac arrythmias.

Complications: If you inject anything, be aware that skin applied meds are not manufactured to the purity standards of injectable meds. Such action would not be as bad as injecting swamp water but the risk would be there for infection. The fact that this could trigger a heart rhythm disturbance & kill you would also be worth considering. You might get lucky & not have a problem, but don't bet on it.

"topical" means to…: Be applied to the skin; it is not intended for injection unless formulated for that use. For what purpose do you want to inject it?
