What is the definition or description of: accidental poisoning?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unintentional ...: ingestion or inhalation, etc. of a chemical that is toxic, in contrast to purposeful intake, such as might occur with a suicide attempt. Examples might be a child taking a pill or drinking a liquid because they thought it was candy or a beverage, a person misreading a label and taking 2 tablespoons instead of 2 teaspoons, or taking Med A instead of Med B or alcohol OD with inexperienced drinkers.
