Neck rejuvenation: Aging of the neck include skin laxity, fat deposits and muscles bands. Improvement on these condition depends on anatomical presentation : moderate skin laxity - platysma bands and fat deposits under the skin and under the muscle, liposuction and platysmorrhaphy are sufficient. Advanced aging - macs lift and liposuction are appropriate. Extreme aging- macs lift, neck lift and platysmorrhaphy

Neck lift: A neck lift addresses aging of the neck. If you have loose skin, extra fat and muscle bands in the neck, this can be improved with a neck lift surgery. In my practice, i almost never do a neck lift alone. A facelift will correct the neck as well. A neck lift alone will not correct the jowls and will look disharmonious with the rest of the aging face.

Part of face lift: Usually, a neck lift is part of the overall facial rejuvenate. It entails tightening the underlying neck muscles, sculpting the fat and removing excessive skin.

Confusion terms: Facelifts and necklifts are confusing terms in that facelifts help treat the jaw/neckline better than an actually necklift.
In practice i commonly perform a facelift/necklift/fat transfer for most patients.
A traditional necklift is a small incision under the chin, tightening of the muscle and removal of skin.
