CMV infection: CMV= cytomegalovirus, a virus in the herpesvirus family that can infect anyone. CMV is spread by direct contact of body fluids, such as saliva, blood, urine, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. CMV infection can have a wide range of symptoms from no symptoms to symptoms of fever and fatigue (resembling infectious mononucleosis) to severe symptoms involving brain, eyes and other organs.
