Carpal Tunnel...: Your husband should be evaluated for possible carpal tunnel syndrome. The constand pressure of the wheel on the palm of his hand may have predisposed him for it. Symptoms usually include numbness and tingling sensation in the thumb and first 2 fingers. Wearing a neutral wrist spling for 6 weeks may be helpful, and surgical release is always a treatment option when all else fails.
