Talk to MD: The prohibition sabout marrying close relations is due to the increased risk of genetic malformations. You should talk to your md about this and consider other options.

Risky for offspring: It is estimated that each of us carry at least 4 recessive traits that could result in serious metabolic disease if we have babies with a carrier.Chances of a 1st cousin carrying such traits are high, so the chances of their child together could have a serious disease could be as high as 1/4.The description of a transfusion requiring disease already makes the issue even bleaker.
