Folliculitis: Steroid cream is an unusual treatment for folliculitis, although might be helpful if given along with an antibiotic ointment or pills. If this is self treated, stop the steroid and see your doctor. If prescribed by a doctor, call the office for clarification and ask whether you might also need an antibiotic. The most important thing may be to stop shaving the area.
