Folliculitis.: Despite the fact that folliculitis is technically a bacterial infection of the follicles, we can often treat acute folliculitis with a simple warm soak to the area (warm water on a washcloth and applied for 15 minutes at a time, 2 to 3 times a day). If this does not help, one could try antibacterial creams, available over-the-counter.

Where?: Depending on the location of this rash or folliculitis you may need further examination, if possible visit a Dermatologist to examine you. Are you fully vaccinated? Any recent international travel or antibiotic use? The differential diagnosis of a rash is extensive and needs to be examined in person. Good luck.
